Let the adventure continue!
Last week was a great vacation with all the Canadian girls in Barcelona, Spain! The week consisted of exploring the amazing city, eating a lot of great Tapas (with greater wine), constantly being in awe over Gaudi and the breath taking architecture, and of course staying out way too late at the clubs that seem to never close! Let's do it again next year! ♥
| Take off! |
| once our stuff was dropped off at the hostel we sought out food. This meal was some unforgettable tapas. Great way to kickstart the holiday :) |
| yumm. |
| Then we began to wonder... |
| and we stumbled upon an art exhibition, with free wine! This is when i began to feel we were in "Vicki Christina Barcelona". This made my day just that much better :) |
| Tourist time :). Elyse, Shannon and I took a bus tour around the city on day 2. Super fun and a lazy way to get to know the city, perfect! |
| Gaudi! |
| Getting ready to go dance! Our alter egos seem to come out mostly at night... |
| Our hostel roomie Mathidle, from France introduced us to her Barcelona buddies. At Razmataz we danced until 5am. The most fun. Thanks guys :) |
| The next morning deinitely called for a mountainous cup of capachino. |
| soaking up the sun. my toes were so happy in this moment ;) |
| Our mission for the day was to make it to the church at the top of the mountain... |
| ...but we only made it half way |
| I was happy to only make it half way up the moutain. This xcusion ended up bein a highlight of the trip. The landscape of Barcelona, the scents and scenery was beautiful. I wanted to be in that moment forever. |
| Beach day1 :) |
| Picnicing :) |
| Bar Marsella! So glad we made it here. From my research this is the oldest bar in Barcelona, dating back to the 1820's! Hemmingway, Dali, Picasso and many of the greats used to go here. When there you just feel this great sense of history. |
| Of course we had to try the infamous absinthe, in Bar Marsella no less! |
| the effects of absenth! haha. this reminds me so much of Degas painting, 'L'absinth" |
| The final day! Gaudi's, Park Guell. |
| Then to Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's masterpeice. |
| When going inside Sagrada Familia my breath was taken away! |
| Amazing. |
